XProv stands for Experimental Improv. This is a night where we get to try out new ideas: games that are new to us, teams testing new material (or new teams!), sketch pieces, unusual forms that aren’t easily done in the workshop, etc.

Past examples have been puppet improv, dubbing scenes from TV or movies, musical improv games, new teams trying our long form sets, silent improv, and BAT (improv done in the dark).

You can come with an idea or just come to participate in anyone else’s idea, We’ll group up during the first hour, and then all the groups will perform in the next hour. Finally, the last hour we’ll give feedback on the performances.

This is not open to the public. It is open to anyone whose attended any class or the Wednesday night workshop. The idea is to try out new material that isn’t ready for public consumption but may make it’s way into one of the public shows.

The scheduled for the night is:

  • 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Breaks up into groups and practice

  • 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm: All the groups perform their pieces

  • 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm: We give feedback on the performed pieces

Cost $5 at the door
