XProv is every 4th Friday of the month.

Although it is not open to the general public, anyone taking a class at Santa Barbara Improv is invited to come and play

XProv is short for eXperimental imPROV. It’s a night where we experiment with new improv games, long form structures, sketch pieces, and other experimental theater. We gather at 7, and match up those who have an idea with those who are willing to participate in the experiment. We spend until 8 workshopping the pieces. Then, from 8 to 9 we put on a show with those pieces for each other (again, the general public is not invited) Finally, from 9 until 10 we review the show and give feedback on the performances.

All those who participate are asked to chip in $5
