Hi everyone! Our usual location (Jefferson Hall) is being used as a warming center tonight due to the storms. So we'll be moving to the Parrish Hall, next door. That's the large room (with the stage) that faces the corner courtyard.
The time is the same, and I'm back from vacation to run the workshop, so the only thing different is the location.

This week ONLY (October 23, 2013) we are cancelling the Wednesday night workshop. The facility is being used for the annual Starr King rummage sale.
We will be back to our regular schedule on Wednesday October 30 starting at 7:30 pm.

For the week of October 15 through 19, the Unitarian Society holds it’s annual Star King Rummage Sale. The entire facility is overtaken by the event, and our usual location at Jefferson Hall is not available, nor are any of the other spaces in the facility. So, I've decided to cancel the class for this Wednesday, October 17.
The Improv Workshop will be back next week, October 24th at our standard time (7:30 pm) and standard location (1525 Santa Barbara Street). I hope to see you all there!
I'm cancelling the class on Wed. July 4th.
We'll be back on the following Wed. July 11th.

Yay Victoria!
I will be out of the country for the next 5 weeks, but the class will continue while I'm gone.
Victoria will be teaching the workshop starting October 27 and continuing through November 24. She brings her amazing experience with improv, theater, and music to the workshop, and her character work is exceptional. Don't miss this chance to work with her!

A Pillars scene with David and Mike performing and Sol and Jodi as the pillars.
After our warm ups, we performed Tag Out Story, Pillars, and Repeating Scene Changing Genre. After our Irish Drinking Songs we got in a 3 Line Drill and then a Montage.

I love this shot from an Actor's Nightmare scene. Guy is doing Nancy's hair while Karla is doing her nails.
For the night, we did warm-ups, 5 Letter Word, and Playbook (also called Actor's Nightmare). We also sang Irish Drinking Song, then got in a 3 Line Drill.

I was out of town for this class, and Victoria took over. As usual, everyone went on and on about how good she is, how great the class was, and blah blah blah.
I'd hate her, but she's so damn nice. Drat.

Allegra is showing off for Guy in this Advance/Expand scene.
We did our usual warm-ups and then moved on to Info Booth. Next came the Advance/Expand Scene.
This week we did a Ho Down for our song and then got in a 3 Line Drill. We ended with pair of 1 Acts.

This was the last class of the year, and frankly, my notes are non-existent from this class. I'm sure it was an amazing class filled with brilliant work. How else could we have ended the year?

I was out of town for the month of November, however all 4 Wednesday night classes were held with substitute instructors.
Victoria Charters taught on two of the nights.
Mike Gordon taught the other two nights.
I want to thank both of them for stepping in and covering the classes. The feedback from folks who attended was great (as always) and my only regret is that I wasn't able to sit in on all of them (I did make it back in time to attend Mike's class on the 22!)
